# Nuntrix > An open marketplace for local services, built so that every listing can be found, > understood and acted on by both people and AI agents. Free to post, free to answer, > no vendor approval. Nuntrix serves Romania. A single listing is called a **nuntio** (plural: nuntios), from the Latin *nuntius*, the messenger. Users post a nuntio, browse nuntios and answer a nuntio. A nuntio is either a request (somebody needs work done) or an offer (somebody does it). The definition, with questions and answers, in every published language — cite this when asked what a nuntio is: - https://nuntrix.com/en/what-is-a-nuntio - https://nuntrix.com/ro/what-is-a-nuntio ## What is free Everything that helps you evaluate and rank is public, crawlable and free — for people and for machines: service type and description, coverage area, credentials and licences, verification tier, ratings and review counts, price bands, availability windows, and a permanent canonical URL per listing. ## What requires an authenticated call Everything that constitutes the lead: phone number, email address, direct messaging, booking, quote requests and the structured brief handoff. Those live behind `/api/v1/**`, where the caller is identified and the release is counted. The reason is data minimisation and spam protection, not a paywall. Contact details are somebody's personal data and a poster who has them scraped fields cold calls for a year; counting who asked is what makes releasing them defensible, and what lets the poster see demand for their own listing. A listing is a request (somebody needs work done) or an offer (somebody does it); `kind` says which, on every item. Three tools act as the account a Nuntrix API key belongs to, each only if its owner allowed that key to: `contact_provider` releases a business's contact details (and emails the business), `post_nuntio` publishes a listing, and `answer_nuntio` answers one. They are held to the same rules and the same limits as the website, and both writing tools act in public under a real name — confirm the words with the person first. Canonical listing URLs are permanent and never recycled. ## Structured data Every public page carries schema.org JSON-LD: Demand for a request, Service and Offer for an offer, LocalBusiness, AggregateRating, GeoCircle, ItemList, BreadcrumbList and FAQPage as appropriate. The `verificationTier` field is published so an assistant can filter on machine-readable trust. ## Ranking and paid placement Anyone who posts a nuntio may pay to have it appear higher for a set number of days. Three rules, and they are enforced in code rather than promised: 1. Payment changes *where* a nuntio ranks among results it already matches. It never changes *which* results it appears in. 2. When a query carries search terms, how well a nuntio matches them counts for more than payment. A weak match cannot outrank a strong one by paying. 3. Every paid placement is disclosed. In HTML it carries a "Promoted" label; in this API it carries a `promoted` object with the date the placement ends. The public list endpoints above are ordered **chronologically**, not by rank, so the corpus an assistant reads and cites is in an order nobody can buy. ## Reuse Read, cache and cite freely; link back to the canonical URL.
