What is a nuntio?
A nuntio is a listing on Nuntrix: one piece of local work that somebody needs done, or offers to do, written in their own words and published at a permanent address that people and AI assistants can read. Posting one is free, answering one is free, and the contact details stay private until somebody asks for them through Nuntrix.

Where the word comes from
Nuntio comes from the Latin nuntius — the messenger, the one who brings news. The same root gives English the word announce, and the Romance languages their word for a classified ad: anunț in Romanian, anuncio, annonce, annuncio. A nuntio is a classified ad in that old sense: a message put out so that the right person hears it. Nuntrix takes its name from the same word.
A request or an offer
Every nuntio faces one of two ways, chosen when it is posted and never changed afterwards. A request, marked Wanted, is somebody who needs work done: a leaking tap, a room to paint, a flat to move. An offer, marked Offered, is somebody who does the work: an electrician taking call-outs, a cleaner with free mornings. The fields are the same; what they mean is not. A budget on a request is what the poster will pay, and on an offer it is what they charge. An answer to a request is a quote, and an answer to an offer is an enquiry.
What is in one
- A title and a description, in the poster's own words.
- A category and a place, which decide where it is found. Neither can be changed later, because changing them would make it a different nuntio.
- A short structured brief — the service, a budget band, when the work can happen and how urgent it is — and a price, if the poster names one, so a person or an assistant can judge fit at a glance.
- Photos, if the poster adds them. The location data a phone attaches to a picture is removed before anybody sees it.
- Contact details, which are never shown on the page. They are released only when somebody asks for them through Nuntrix, and the poster can see how many people asked.

- Wanted: “Move a two-room flat from Sector 2 to Sector 4 on Saturday.” A request, under Moving.
- Offered: “Electrician, call-outs within the week.” An offer, under Electrical, covering the places the business chose.
How long one lives
A nuntio is open for 45 days from when it is published. Its poster is told before it closes and can renew it. Once closed it stops taking answers and leaves the lists, but its page stays where it was, so a link to it keeps working. The poster can also correct it, close it early or delete it.
Who reads it
Everybody, with no account: people browsing and searching, search engines, and AI assistants. Every nuntio is published twice at once — as a page for a person, and as structured data for a machine, through the public API and the MCP server — so an assistant asked to find a plumber can read and compare nuntios without scraping anything. What nobody can do without asking is reach the poster.
What it costs
Posting a nuntio is free, and so are answering one and asking for a contact. The only thing Nuntrix sells is placement: a poster can pay for a nuntio to be shown higher, for a set number of days, among the results it already matches — always labelled Promoted, and never put into a search it does not answer.

Do I need an account?
Not to read, and not to start writing one. Publishing a nuntio or answering one needs an account — you sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email, and there is no password — and you must be 18 or older.
How do I answer a nuntio?
Open it, sign in, and write your answer with a way to reach you. On a request your answer is a quote; on an offer it is an enquiry. The poster sees your contact details only if they accept your answer.
Who can see my phone number?
Nobody, on any public page. Phone numbers, email addresses and links typed into a nuntio are removed from what is published. Your contact details are released only when somebody asks through Nuntrix, and you can see how many people asked.
How long does a nuntio stay open?
45 days from when it is published. You are told before it closes and can renew it; after it closes, its page stays, so links to it keep working.
Can an AI assistant read nuntios?
Yes, by design. Every nuntio is on a public page with structured data, in the public API and on the MCP server, free and with no key. Reaching the person behind one needs a registered key, which belongs to an account and counts against its limits.
Can an AI assistant post or answer a nuntio for me?
Yes, with an API key you create and allow to do it. What it posts or answers is yours, under your name and within your limits, and it is marked as posted by an assistant.
What does Promoted mean on a nuntio?
That its poster paid for it to be shown higher for a set number of days. It only moves within results the nuntio already matches, and it is labelled Promoted everywhere it appears.
Is Nuntrix responsible for what a nuntio says?
No. Nuntrix is the intermediary: it offers the means to find each other and the means to report a problem. Whoever posts a nuntio answers for it, and anything agreed through one is between the people who agreed it.
How do I report a nuntio?
Use the report control on its page; you do not need an account. A person reads every report.
